School-based occupational therapy staff support student achievement and participation in academic and social settings. Some areas commonly addressed by occupational therapy staff include fine motor, visual motor, visual perceptual, self-care, and sensory procession. Therapy staff members also collaborate with school personnel to implement environmental/task modifications and assistive technology to promote increased success and independence with school-related tasks.
