Birth to 3 Program of Marathon, Lincoln, & Langlade Counties
You are your child's greatest chance for success
Your daily interactions and encouragement provide the most significant opportunities for your child to grow. For that reason, Marathon County Special Education's Birth to 3 program works in partnership with the families and friends of children with developmental delays or disabilities, providing you and your child the extra support you need within your natural environment and daily routines. We aim to help you make each day a learning opportunity by providing you with the knowledge, skills, support, and resources you need.
Eligibility
We begin by assessing your child's strengths and needs to determine if your child is eligible for the program. Developmental screenings, evaluations, and service coordination are provided at no cost. Eligibility is not affected by the family's income; however, families who can afford services may be asked to contribute to the costs of services.
Building A Personalized Program
Once a child is enrolled, staff and families work together to determine which services best support their child's ability to grow, learn, and communicate. We evaluate and establish goals based on your child's ability to: learn, move, see, and hear; communicate and understand others' communication; respond to and relate with others; and eat, dress, and care for daily living needs.
Together, we construct a unique plan to provide you with the support and services you need and integrate them into your typical routines and activities, including:
- Communication Services
- Developmental Education Services
- Family Education
- Occupational Therapy
- Physical Therapy
- Related Health Services
Together, we assess your child's progress, provide feedback to one another, and change your family's individual plan to adapt to your child's varying successes and challenges.
