Innovative Services - Community Supported Living

People served through community-supported living programs live in their own home or apartment, often alone or with a roommate. The foundation of a community-supported living program begins with evaluating a person's capabilities and desires. From that information, Innovative Services will build a specific and appropriate support system to ensure the person's desired outcomes are realized, focusing on achieving maximum independence by enabling them to attain their own outcomes whenever possible.

Special Olympics

Special Olympics Wisconsin provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in 18 Olympic-type sports within five sports seasons for individuals with intellectual disabilities eight years of age or older.

Lion's Camp

Join us for a week away from home to experience the adventure of a lifetime! Come swim and boat on Lions Lake, explore our environmental education program, hit a target in archery, climb to new heights on our climbing tower, high ropes, and zip line, create lasting art and performance projects, enjoy a campfire, and wallow in our mud pit. Meet other children and adults from Wisconsin and build lasting friendships in a safe environment. This quality camping experience is provided free of charge to eligible children and adults with disabilities from Wisconsin. We serve children and adults who are blind or visually impaired, Deaf or Hard of Hearing, children with intellectual disabilities or educational autism, and children with diabetes. A chance remark, "Blind kids can't go to outdoor camps and stuff like that…" started it all in 1955, and in 1956, the Lions Clubs of the State of Wisconsin founded the Wisconsin Lions Camp and the Wisconsin Lions Foundation, Inc. to administer the Camp program. From that humble beginning with 26 campers, we proudly serve over 1,300 campers a summer.

Wisconsin Youth Leadership Forum

The Wisconsin Youth Leadership Forum is a week-long leadership training and career awareness program for high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors with disabilities. Being selected to attend the forum is a distinct honor you can be very proud of. Please take the time to apply – you'll have the time of your life!
