Cutting Edge at Edgewood College, Madison, Wisconsin
The Cutting Edge is an individualized approach to education and inclusion in College for students with intellectual developmental disabilities. These are individuals who have either traditionally not been able to meet the standard admissions criteria for College or require additional supports to be successful in College.
Edgewood College is the first four-year college in Wisconsin to offer such a program to students who have intellectual developmental disabilities. From 2007-2017, the Cutting Edge program has supported over 60 students with the opportunity to attend College by attending required/undergraduate courses, practicums and internships, student housing, and learning with peer mentors by engaging in student-life events, as well as pursuing community service. University of Wisconsin, Whitewater LIFE Program
The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater LIFE (Learning is for Everyone) program will provide a complete college experience for young adults between the ages of 18-25 who have an intellectual disability. With ample supports, specialized instruction, on-campus residential living, and community integration, the program serve a critical need in our region and community. The program will have two components, which include a Basic Program (2 years) and an Advanced Program (2 years) that are designed to facilitate independent living and employment success for persons with significant cognitive limitations.

Jump! Start Program
Jump! Start is an innovative approach to inclusive post-secondary education for adult learners with intellectual disabilities. The program is based at Nicolet College in Rhinelander. It is designed for students who require more than the traditional level of support to be successful in a college environment. The program is a partnership among Nicolet College, the Northland Pines, Rhinelander, and Crandon School Districts, Headwaters, Inc., and the Human Service Center. Nicolet College Jump! Shepherds College
Shepherds College is a fully accredited, three-year, post-secondary educational program that equips young adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities to successfully transition from school to work, home to independent living. Training focuses on occupational, life, and social skill development. Current vocational program options include technology, culinary arts, and horticulture. The Residential Life program consists of three phases of on-campus residential environments, including dorms, houses, and apartments. Upon completion of the program, students receive an accredited certificate of completion in Technology, Culinary Arts, or Horticulture. Shepherds College Website
Bethesda College: Concordia University Wisconsin
Bethesda College is a two-year certificate program in the inclusive university environment of Concordia University, Wisconsin. The program is designed to meet the higher education needs of students with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including experiencing the whole range of college learning and life. The goal of the program is to prepare students for independent adult living and employment in the community. The program follows students after their two years into the community with transitional supports. Concordia University, Bethesda College Website
