Kristin Jacobson is the Assistant Director of Special Education for Marathon County Special Education. A licensed director of special education and pupil services,  Kristin holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, a Master of Science in Education, and an Educational Specialist Degree in School Psychology. Kristin began her career as a School Psychologist with Marathon County Special Education in 2005, serving first in the Abbotsford School District and later the Marathon School District before moving to the Assistant Director role in 2013. Kristin oversees the special education departments in Abbotsford, Marathon, and Spencer. She is a Youth Mental Health First Aid instructor, training adults to support youth experiencing mental health challenges or crises. Kristin's professional interests include comprehensive school-based mental health, supporting special educators in their respective roles, continuous improvement,  and family engagement.
