My name is Lori Haines, and I have represented the Athens School District since 2011 and currently serve as the Marathon County Children with Disabilities Education Board secretary. My occupation is vice president of our family truck transportation business. I graduated from Athens High School in 1979. In the community of Athens, I have been a Girl Scout Leader, a church organist, a member of local snowmobile clubs, and a volunteer at my church - St. Anthony. I was a member of the School District of Athens Board for 15 years, including the board president for nine years. Areas of special Education that I am most interested in are that the children are presented with fun learning activities, ever-changing technologies, and a safe, inclusive environment. The main priority I have for the Marathon County Children with Disabilities Education Board is providing a valuable service to the districts in our consortium and keeping our great atmosphere as a Board.
